Assemblyman Gordon to Address Public on State Issues

Assemblyman Rich Gordon will hold a Town Hall meeting in Palo Alto this Thursday to discuss state-related issues with constituents.

Assemblyman Rich Gordon (D-Menlo Park) - whose Congressional district includes Redwood City - will hold a special Town Hall meeting at the (PAUSD) offices this Thursday, April 19, 6:30-8 p.m.

Gordon will give constituents the chance to pick his brain on a number of state issues including education, the California High-Speed Rail Project, jobs, the environment, the state budget and more.

A panel of local community leaders will help lead the dialogue with Gordon. The panel will include Palo Alto Mayor Yiaweh Yeh; PAUSD Superintendent Kevin Skelly; Cynthia D’Agosta, executive director of the Committee for Green Foothills; CEO Paul Wright; and Leif Erickson, executive director of Youth Community Service.

Jocelyn Dong, editor of the Palo Alto Weekly, will serve as moderator.

Following the panel's discussion will be a question-and-answer session in which audience members can address Assemblyman Gordon.

This event is free and open to the public. The PAUSD offices are located at 25 Churchill Avenue. The town hall will be held in room SDC.
