Woodside Blotter: Woodside High Teen Brings Cocaine, Pot to School

Incidents in Woodside from the San Mateo County Sheriff's Office blotter from March 19-27. Where arrests or charges are mentioned, it does not indicate a conviction.

 

* Friday, March 22, 11 a.m. - Possession of Drugs: Sheriff's deputies were called to Woodside High School on a report of a student possibly in possession of cocaine. During an investigation, the student was also found to be in possession of marijuana. The teen was arrested for possession of drugs and transported to the Youth Services Center.

Tuesday, March 19, 9:52 p.m. - DUI Arrest: Occurred in the 2900 block of Woodside Road. An Atherton man was arrested for driving under the influence of alcohol. He was transported to First Chance. The vehicle was left parked at the scene.

Saturday, March 23, 7:15 p.m. - Warrant Arrest: Occurred in 500 block of Manzanita Way. A Tracy man was arrested, and deputies found him to have two out-of-county warrants out for his arrest - one from San Joaquin County for fraud in the amount of $25,000, and one out of Fresno County for $10,700. He was transported to San Mateo County Jail.

Monday, March 25, 11:31 p.m. - Misdemeanor Warrant: A Redwood City man was arrested and found to have a $2,500 county warrant out for his arrest for contracting without a license.

Tuesday, March 26, 12:13 a.m. - DUI Crash & Arrest: A Redwood City man was driving westbound on Farm Hill Boulevard while under the influence of alcohol, at a high rate of speed. He attempted to make a lefthand turn onto the on-ramp for southbound Highway 280 when he lost control and went off the road, crashing into a light pole. The vehicle was not driveable after the crash, so he called for assistance. When authorities arrived they found him intoxicated, so he was arrested and transported to Maguire Correctional Facility. The vehicle was towed from the scene.

Wednesday, March 27, 5:19 p.m. - Vandalism: A resident of the 200 block of Glenwood Avenue called deputies to report that a "bunny rabbit decoration" he had hand-made many years ago had been stolen from the front of his house and tossed into a ditch across the street, sometime overnight. The resident wished to file a report, and said the estimated value of the decoration was around $300.
