Woodside Blotter: Cyclists Attack Car in 'Road Rage' Incident

Incidents from the San Mateo County Sheriff's Office blotters in Woodside, from Jan. 16-26. Where arrests or charges are mentioned, it does not indicate a conviction.

Jan. 16, 2013 2:57 p.m. - Grand Theft: Unknown suspects entered the victim's unlocked vehicle, parked near Woodside and Moore,  and stole his GPS unit receiver, valued at approximately $8,000. No suspect info or witnesses.

Jan. 16, 2013 5:16 p.m. - Burglary: Occurred near Highway 280 and Woodside Road. Unknown suspects smashed a locked vehicle's window and stole a locked box as well as several tools in the truck. Total loss valued at approximately $3,000. No witnesses or suspect info.

Jan. 26, 2013 10:18 a.m. - Identity Theft/Fraud: An unknown suspect stole the identity of a victim who lives in the 600 block of Glencrag Way and opened numerous credit accounts without his knowledge or permission. In all, six accounts were used at numerous retailers in McDonough, Ga. Total loss was around $4,000. No suspect leads at this time.

*Jan. 26, 2013 10:35 a.m. - Vandalism: A driver said that, while stopped at a stop sign at Cañada and Woodside roads, a group of cyclists he had just passed on the road about 50 feet earlier surrounded his car, punching and kicking the doors, mirrors and windows. Deputies searched the area for the cyclists with negative results.
