Woodside Blotter: Drunk Driver Causes Crash on Highway 84

Crime incidents in Woodside from the San Mateo County Sheriff's blotter between Feb. 11 and 19. Where arrests or charges are mentioned, it does not indicate a conviction.

* Tuesday, Feb. 19, 12:19 p.m. - DUI/Traffic Collision: Occurred on Highway 84 in Woodside. A driver caused a collision, due to driving under the influence of alcohol and driving too fast for road conditions. The driver was transported to Stanford Hospital for his injuries and the vehicle was towed.

Monday, Feb. 11. 5:58 a.m. - Vandalism: Occurred in the 17000 block of Skyline Boulevard. A business owner said her business has been plagued by recent vandalism - specifically, being shot at by bb-guns after hours. In two recent incidents in December and January, windows were shot out. On Feb. 2, a light fixture in front of the business was shot out. Altogether, the three incidents have cost her around $1,000. She would like advice and to file a report with the Sheriff's office.

Thursday, Feb. 14, 5:48 p.m. - Identity Theft: Victim lives in the 200 block of Meadow Road. Unknown subject or subjects used the victim's personal information to try and open a credit card account in her name. No losses at this time, and no potential suspect info. Victim does not know how her personal information was obtained.

Friday, Feb. 15, 2:02 p.m. - Possession of Drugs: Occurred at Cañada Road and Jefferson Avenue. A driver was stopped at a routine traffic stop and was found to be in possession of marijuana in the car. He did not own a medical marijuana card. He was cited and released.
