Friday, Jan. 11
6:00 a.m. - Attempted Burglary: An unknown man wearing light brown pants came onto a property in the 600 block of Woodside Way. The man reportedly entered an enclosed shed on the property, in an attempt to steal property. The owner noticed the man in the shed, causing him to flee. The Sheriff's Office said that, despite the efforts of numerous deputies and K-9 dog units searching the area, they were unable to locate the suspect. Luckily, the owner interrupted this attempted burglary before any belongings could be stolen or property damaged.
10:54 a.m. - Drug Activity: Occurred at Edgewood and Cañada roads. During a routine patrol check, a Sheriff's deputy made contact with two men, one from Santa Clara and the other from San Francisco. The deputy determined the two men were under the influence of methamphetamines, and were also currently on probation. During a search of the vehicle, numerous bags of drugs were found, including meth and heroine, as well as other drugs, drug paraphernalia, and syringes. The two men were arrested and taken to San Mateo County Jail for booking.
