Woodside Blotter: Woman Caught Driving Drunk at 2 P.M. in the Afternoon

Incidents in Woodside from the San Mateo County Sheriff's Office blotter, from March 11 to March 16. Where arrests or charges are mentioned, it does not indicate a conviction.

 

Monday, March 11, 2:45 p.m. - DUI Arrest: Occurred at Cañada and Romero roads. An Emerald Hills woman was arrested for driving under the influence. She was arrested and transported to First Chance.

Thursday, March 14, 1:53 a.m. - DUI Arrest: Occurred at Quail Meadow Drive. A Daly City woman was arrested for driving under the influence of both alcohol and marijuana. She was arrested and booked into San Mateo County Jail.

Friday, March 15, 3:45 p.m. - Residential Burglary: Occurred in the 100 block of Churchill Avenue. Deputies were dispatched on a report of a residential alarm. Upon arrival, deputies discovered the home had been burglarized by an unknown subject. The deputies contacted the owners, who said they had given no one permission to enter their home. The owners later reported that a Rolex watch, a commemorative U.S. Olympic coin and several keys to a vehicle were missing. The following day, Brisbane Police detained an individual on unrelated charges and found him to be in possession of the items reported stolen from the home. They arrested Julio Caesar Jiminez-Hernandez of San Francisco and he was booked into San Mateo County Jail on charges of prowling (in Brisbane) and possession of the stolen property from the Woodside home. Later, additional charges of residential burglary were added when he was determined to also be the one to enter the Woodside home.

Saturday, March 16, 5:17 p.m. - Mountain Lion Sighting: Occurred in the 700 block of Patrol Road. A woman called the Sheriff's Office to report seeing a mountain lion walking along the side of the road on Patrol Road while she was driving. She said the lion did not appear to be injured or sick, and that it was about 3 feet tall and 4 feet long, with a long tail, a tan coat and pointy ears. She believed it weighed around 100 pounds. I agree, the public has the right to know what they are eating. It is absurd to be purchasing foodRead More that contains GMOs and not be able to know it is in the food.... why the secret if it is so safe??? I will not shop at any food stores that refuse to provide the public with information on what I am eating or serving to the people I care about. Trader Joes and Whole Foods have my loyalty for having the courage to stand up against the big guys and set an example by doing what is right for the consumer and not folding to pressure from Monsanto, Dupont and the other corporate giants that could care less about our safety and only care about how much money they can rake in.
