UPDATE: Kings Mountain Road Re-Opens After Big-Rig Breaks Down

Traffic in both directions was blocked for roughly three hours.

UPDATE: The Sheriff announced the road was cleared in both directions at 10:18 a.m.

 

The San Mateo County Sheriff announced around 7:30 a.m. Thursday that Kings Mountain Road in Woodside is blocked to both eastbound and westbound traffic do to a stalled big rig.

The roadblock is approximately one-eighth of a mile west of the entrance to Huddard Park.

The Sheriff’s Office estimates the roadway will be reopened soon, most likely within the next hour.

"If you travel this road, please make alternate travel plans and expect delays in this area. Thank you and drive safely," a community alert from the Sheriff said.
