RWC Officials: 'Displaced Fire Victims Asked to Check in at Red Cross Evacuation Center'

75 residents of 6 Woodside Road have currently checked in at the evac. center located in Red Morton Community Center.

[Editor's Note: The following is an update on evacuation and shelter efforts following Thursday morning's apartment fire on Woodside Road., posted by the City of Redwood City.]

926 Woodside Rd. Fire: 75 Displaced Residents Register at Evacuation Center 
Fire fighters remain in the "overhaul" stage of the fire in the hopes of fully extinguishing the blaze.

The latest registration number at the evacuation center of the Red Morton Community Center is 75.

We ask that all displaced residents of this fire check in at the evacuation center immediately if they have not already done so.  

An overnight shelter for those displaced residents who need accommodations this evening will be set up at a location to be announced.  

Displaced residents trying to locate their pets should call the Humane Society at 650.340.7022, ext. 311.  

If you are a member of the public interested in making a donation, you have two options at this time. As reported earlier, you can make a donation to the American Red Cross.

Also, you can call the Salvation Army at 650.368.4643 to inquire of donations.
