Sandy Delgado, 28, allegedly forged documents and stole from her employer for the past four years.

San Mateo County Sheriff’s Office Deputies arrested a Redwood City woman Saturday for grand theft and forgery.

Sandy Delgado, 28, was arrested on 95 counts of grand theft and forgery. She came under suspicion on Jan. 18 after members of a family in the North Fair Oaks area for whom she had worked for years reported several incidents of forgery and grand theft occurring over the past 18 months, Deputy Rebecca Rosenblatt said.

A thorough investigation ensued over the past two weeks resulting in the discovery of 66 additional counts of forgery and grand theft occurring in the past 4 years, according to a San Mateo County Sheriff’s Office report.

The suspect, who had been in the family’s employ for years, is currently in custody in San Mateo County Jail on $950,000 bail.

The San Mateo County Sheriff's Office offers these safety tips to avoid incidents of fraud, forgery and theft:

  • Do not store birth certificates, social security cards in your wallet. These items can be used to access your bank, and credit cards.
  • Do not list driver’s license, social security, or telephone numbers on checks.
  • Pay attention when using an ATM. Be cautious of people who appear to be standing too close when completing a transaction.
  • Call 911 to report suspicious behavior.

Vanessa and ctpiazza, Buckley Stone at Pete's Harbor says it is because some time ago the CityRead More dredged near muni and ran a pipe under to spill it out at Bair Island, so it is actually the remains of rotting sea life. He knows so much about this area having been at Pete's for 20 years and knowing so much about the area the tides and the nature and land around here.
