Redwood City Bicyclist Assaulted in 7-Eleven Parking Lot

Cyclist got in verbal argument with car driver and passengers then pulled over to settle matters.

Two suspects were arrested for the assault of a 35-year-old Redwood City man after the two juveniles and one other suspect beat him up in a 7-Eleven parking lot on Sunday at 7:30 p.m., according to police Sgt. Sean Hart. The other suspect still has not been identified.  

“The bicyclist and the three suspects in the car got into some kind of argument and decided to settle their road rage,” Hart said.

Witnesses at the 7-Eleven on 460 Woodside Road were able to write down the driver’s license plate and produce a description of the vehicle. Detectives were able to identify two suspects, residents of Redwood City ages 16 and 17.

The victim suffered substantial injuries including a broke nose, wrist and facial injuries, Hart said. He was treated and the hospital and released.

The two suspects are now in juvenile detention, and detectives are still looking for the third suspect.
