POLL: Should California Abolish the Death Penalty?
Initiative to abolish capital punishment qualifies for November ballot.
Redwood City residents will have a chance this fall to vote on an initiative that would abolish the death penalty in California if passed. The initiative just qualified for the ballot and would also immediately convert the sentences of nearly 700 Death Row inmates to life sentences without the possibility of parole.
