Redwood City Police (RCPD) are searching for a suspect or suspects who may have fired gunshots on Whipple Avenue not far from Mezes Park and Orion Elementary School Wednesday.
At approximately 2:53 p.m., officers responded to the 700 block of Whipple after receiving multiple reports of possible gunfire in the area. RCPD said witnesses reported hearing five to seven shots.
Responding officers did not locate any individuals with injuries or any damage.
Police said three unidentified Hispanic males were seen fleeing the area on foot southbound across Whipple Avenue towards Mezes Park following the reported gunshots.
Anyone with information regarding this incident is asked to contact the Redwood City Police Department Investigations Division at 650-780-7100. Information can be given anonymously.

Melanie Hellman said, "Hey, there's something going on at Whipple with PD loading semi-automatic weapons and bringing out the dogs. Any ideas?"
Robert Figueroa said, "We were at Orion and they told us to get inside due to police activity in the area."
Kelly McComb Suchy said, "Was just coming [to Patch looking] for information. I have several friends with kids who attend Orion School."
