Police Chief Selection Process Begins
The application period for Redwood City Police Chief closed yesterday.
Since former Police Chief Louis Cobarruviaz while on vacation back in January, Captains Ed Hernandez and Chris Cesena of the have rotated filling the position. The city’s human resources department had opened the application process for approximately one month and closed it Monday.
Rebecca Burnside of the Human Resources department said the selection process will take approximately two to three months before one is selected.
Both captains have expressed interest in the position.
