Los Altos Police Calls: A Coyote Spotted & A Stolen Car Recovered

Our cops handled it all from Jan. 11 - 17, 2013: A coyote sighting on Foothill Boulevard, a reckless driver actually caught, parking complaints, construction noise, a DUI and a stolen car recovery.

  • 7:32 a.m., 00 block of Main St; fraud in progress, fraud report taken

Injury Traffic Collision

  • 9:19 a.m. 600 block of Hollingsworth Drive; major injury accident report taken


  • 10:50 a.m., 1200 block of Petersen Court; disturbance, officers assisted
  • 9:43 p.m., 1200 block of Petersen Court; family disturbance, officer assisted

Parking Violation

  • 11:47 a.m., Jardin Drive and Distel Drive; parking violation complaint, vehicle parked in no-parking zone, officer responded and vehicle was being moved


  • 10:13 p.m., El Camino Real & Jordan Ave; driving under the influence report taken


Jan. 16

Noisy Animal

  • 3:21 p.m., 600 block of Torwood Lane; report of barking dog, officer responded and no violation


  • 10:10 p.m., Almond Avenue & N. Avalon Dr., driving under the influence arrest

Family Disturbance

  • 2:38 a.m., 1/17; 911, 1200 block of Petersen Court; family disturbance
