Update: Missing Man Found, Then Dies

Runfa Wang, 50, had been missing since early Monday morning.

An at-risk man who disappeared from the Coyote Point area of San Mateo on Monday was found in South San Francisco early Tuesday, Sept. 3 but died a short while later at a hospital, police said.

Runfa Wang, 50, had last been seen in the Coyote Point area early Monday morning. Wang was discovered in South San Francisco shortly after midnight Tuesday morning and was taken to a hospital because of an unspecified medical condition, San Mateo Police Sgt. Dave Norris said. Wang died a short time later.

Police said his death is not considered suspicious.

Police in San Mateo are asking the public for help in locating a missing person.

Runfa Wang was last seen in the vicinity of Coyote Point early Monday, Sept. 2. He is described as a 50-year-old Asian male and stands about 5-feet-11 inches tall and weighs about 170 pounds.

Wang was last seen wearing a black hat, a dark jacket, light blue jeans and white shoes. According to police Wang has speech resembling a small child, but he likely is not speaking now because of a medical condition.

Police are asking anyone who may have seen Wang in the last day to give them a call at 650-522-7700.
