Man Arrested for Rolison Road Stabbing

Dantis Sims, 58, was charged with attempted murder and assault with a deadly weapon.

A 58 year-old Redwood City man was charged with attempted murder of a 29 year-old Redwood City man today after allegedly stabbing him in the upper torso Sunday afternoon on the 3700 block of Rolison Road.

The suspect was arraigned today and was also charged with assault with a deadly weapon and infliction of grave bodily injury, according to the District Attorney’s Office.

Police located the victim in the Rolison Alley, then transported him to Stanford Hospital where he underwent surgery. The victim is in stable condition and is expected to recover, according to Sgt. Sean Hart.

The suspect alleged that the victim started the fight by breaking out a front window of Sims’ apartment. The two argued over the incident when Sims confronted the victim. He then stabbed the victim once.

Police located the suspect in the apartment building where both men live.
