DUI Checkpoint On El Camino Real and 5th in Redwood City

The enforcement takes place July 12 from 8:00 p.m. to 12:00 a.m.

Drive safe tonight and, if needed, have a designated driver.

The Redwood City CHP will be conducting a DUI checkpoint Friday night, from 8:00 p.m. to 12:00 a.m. on El Camino Real and 5th Street.

The enforcement aims to "aggressively seek those who choose to drive drunk," a release by the Redwood City CHP said.

"It is our goal to use this enforcement tool to assist with the reduction of injury and fatal crashes caused by drunk drivers," the release said. "We are asking the public to designate a driver if they happen to allow alcohol to be part of their evening."
