Downed Phone Line Stops Hwy 101 Traffic

Traffic is stopped at the Marsh Road exit and being re-routed.

Update 11:20 a.m. The cause of the traffic is actually a downed AT&T phone line. A car clipped one of the phone lines along the highway, which hang lower than the PG&E power lines above them, according to Joe Molica, a PG&E spokesperson.

A White Toyota Corolla with an impacted and shattered front windshield is parked on the corner of Marsh Road exit. A CHP officer is interviewing the driver, who appears to be uninjured.

The Marsh Road exit is now re-opened.
