CHP: Head-On Collision Injures 2 in Napa County

Both drivers were hospitalized after a Clearlake motorist lost control of her car trying to pass another vehicle and swerved into oncoming traffic, according to the California Highway Patrol.

On Wednesday evening around 5 p.m., two people were hurt, one seriously, in a head-on crash on Highway 29, north of Tubbs Lane, north of Calistoga, according to the California Highway Patrol.

Erin Jean Anthony, 26, of Clearlake was driving a 2002 Toyota Camry northbound on Highway 29, when she lost control while attempting to pass another northbound car and swerved into the southbound traffic, the CHP said.

Anthony’s vehicle struck another southbound vehicle head on driven by Jon Eddie Dorsey, 60 of Santa Rosa, according to the CHP.

Dorsey suffered major injuries and was airlifted to Santa Rosa Memorial Hospital; Anthony suffered moderate injuries and was taken to a nearby hospital, the CHP said.

My thoughts exactly. Hope Eddie Dorsey does not pay the price for another person's stupidity.

Grateful for airlift. We lived near the Queen. Heard the helicopter on many three day weekends from Lake Berryessa. Accidents happen. I'd say a Hail Mary and go back to sleep, hoping they'd live.
