A commuter train struck a car in Redwood City Thursday evening, sending the car's two occupants to the hospital, Caltrain officials said.
A northbound Caltrain hit the car on the tracks at Main Street just after 6 p.m., Caltrain spokeswoman Christine Dunn said.
There were two people in the car when the crash happened and they were both taken to Stanford Hospital with unknown injuries, Dunn said.
Service in both directions was halted after the crash and delayed for hours.
