Blotter: Witnesses Report Drunk Driver with Kids in Car

Tuesday, Dec. 25

12:03 and 12:05 a.m. - Gunshots/Fireworks Heard: Occurred on Calvin. Shots heard, fireworks seen in the area. Referred to other agency.

12:05 a.m. - Gunshots Heard: Single shot heard on Warrington. Referred to other agency.

12:10 a.m. - Gunshots Heard: Occurred on Douglas Avenue. Single gunshot. Referred to other agency.

1:05 a.m. - DUI Arrest: Occurred on El Camino Real. Witness saw a car drive into a pole. Driver is now standing next to the vehicle. Arrest made.

1:50 a.m. - Public Drunkeness/Disorderly Conduct: Occurred on Harrison Avenue, to the rear of a business' building. Female passed out on the ground. Business owner does not recognize the female. She is unconscious but breathing. Arrest made.

2:33 a.m. - Suspicious Circumstances: Occurred on Dodge Drive. Female resident said she heard a vehicle pull up outside in front of her house. She looked out the window and saw a group of subjects looking at her car. She banged on the window to get their attention, and the subjects got back in their car and drove away. 

3:13 a.m. - Carjacking: Occurred on McEvoy Street. Possible auto theft or carjacking. Driver is drunk. Vehicle was a gray Chevy Malibu. No suspect description. Report taken.

7:55 a.m. - Drug Activity: Occurred on Maple Street. Arrest made.

11:21 a.m. - Residential Burglary: Occurred on Rosemary Lane. Female caller said she went over to her sister-in-law's house to check on it, since she is out of town, and found the front door open and the house ransacked. Report taken.

12:22 p.m. - Strong-Arm Robbery: Occured at Virginia Avenue and Anamor Street. Arrest made.

3:07 p.m. - Public Drunkeness/Disorderly Conduct: Occurred on Woodside Road. Female subject outside of a business is so drunk she can barely stand up. She fell over and rolled under a car. Arrest made.

10:46 p.m. - Public Drunkeness/Disorderly Conduct: Occurred on Veterans Boulevard. Subject standing outside a business is so drunk, he/she can barely stand up. Subject fell over and rolled under a car. Arrest made.

 

Wednesday, Dec. 26

9:16 a.m. - Public Drunkeness/Disorderly Conduct: Occurred at El Camino Real and Charter Street. Hispanic male wearing a white hat is passed out drunk on the sidewalk. Arrest made.

3:48 p.m. - Residential Burglary: Occurred on Woodside Road. Caller has been out of town for past two days, returned home to find his home had been broken into through the front door, and his iPod had been stolen. Report taken.

7:26 p.m. - Suspicious Circumstances: Occurred on Valota Road. Female resident called to say she saw two male subjects standing on her front porch, trying to look in her windows. 

11:54 p.m. - Disturbance: Occurred on Brewster Avenue. Resident said a white female was knocking on his door, asking for water. She was being very aggressive and started throwing things at the door when he wouldn't open it. Left on foot toward Arguello Street. Referred to other agency.

 

Thursday, Dec. 27

12:15 a.m. - DUI Arrest: Occurred at Roosevelt and McGarvey avenues. Arrest made.

1:13 a.m. - Attempted Petty Theft/DUI: Occurred on El Camino Real. The manager of a store said a group of drunk subjects had just attempted to steal a bottle of alcohol from his store. He got the alcohol back from them, but he saw one of the drunk men get behind the wheel of their car to drive away.

8:52 a.m. - Public Drunkeness/Disorderly Conduct: Occurred at Shasta and Main streets. A man in a blue jumpsuit is staggering around in the middle of the road, and appears drunk. Arrest made.

9:05 a.m. - DUI: Occurred at Woodside Plaza Shopping Center. A man appearing drunk and staggering around got behind the wheel of a car and drove away.

10:51 a.m. - Obscene Phone Calls: Victim lives on Cedar Street. Says a man speaking Spanish keeps calling and making sexual comments at her. He has called at least eight times. Report taken.

1:10 p.m. - Obscene Phone Calls: Victim lives on Jackson Avenue. Says a man keeps calling her and harassing her. He has left voicemails on her answering machine as well. She doesn't recognize the voice but his callback number shows up on her Caller ID. 

1:29 p.m. - Car vs. Bicyclist Accident: Occurred on Broadway at Woodside Road. Witnesses saw a tan mini-van hit a cyclist. The cyclist fell off the bike and onto the ground. Unknown injuries. The van pulled over. Officers were unable to locate the incident in the area.

2:08 p.m. - Vandalism: Occurred on Rolison Road. Vehicle owner reports malicious mischief/vandalism to all four tires of his car as well as two other nearby cars. He has possible suspect info. Report taken.

3:29 p.m. - Shoplift: Occurred on Veterans Boulevard. Two females in custody with store manager in office. Both suspects are being cooperative. Unknown how much cash was taken. 

4:37 p.m. - DUI: Occurred on El Camino Real. Female witness reports seeing a man driving around with two juveniles under the age of 6 in his car, and believes he is either drunk or under the influence of drugs. He is driving a tan Toyota. She saw him driving around in a parking lot and then he left the lot and drove away. She believes he is high or drunk because she spoke to him and he seemed inebriated; he was trying to sell video games out of his car to people in the parking lot. Officers were unable to locate him upon their arrival at the scene.

5:07 p.m. - DUI: Occurred on Woodside Road. Caller says a drunk driver in a red Chevy hit his or her vehicle. Caller said he/she took the man's keys and that he smelled drunk. He is a Hispanic male around 60 years old wearing a gray sweatshirt and blue jeans. The man then walked away toward westbound El Camino Real. Report taken.

6:54 p.m. - Bicycle Stolen: Occurred on El Camino Real within the last 30 minutes. Bike lock was cut and bike stolen. Caller says it may have been caught on video footage and he/she is attempting to pull up the footage now. Report taken.
