Blotter: Suspects Egg Hartsen St. Homes

Friday

4:39 a.m. - Suspicious Circumstances / Prowler - A girl was sleeping in her room on Hoover Street when she heard someone knocking on the window. She went into her mom's room and they both heard the knocking continue and realized that an unknown person was walking around their home. Police could not locate the suspect.

1:35 p.m. - Disturbance - A transient, possibly in his 60s, was drinking beer in front of a vending machine on Middlefield Road.

7:45 p.m. - Missing Animal - A woman on Redwood Avenue called police to report her small cat missing. She alleged to officers that her neighbor may have done something to the animal, but provided no proof and eventually hung up.

10:12 p.m. - Car Burglary - An unknown suspect smashed a car window and rummaged through the vehicle.

11:40 p.m. - Domestic Violence / Arrest - Police arrested a man after receiving reports from his sister-in-law that he was beating his wife and throwing her things out of their house. She told police that two children, or teenagers, were in the house at the time.

 

Saturday

2:20 a.m. - Suspicious Circumstances - A man called police from Woodside Road to report that he and a female friend drove to a business where he was later assaulted. The woman then left in another car, according to police.

12:34 p.m. - Vandalism - An unknown suspect, or suspects, egged some houses on Hartsen Street.

10:57 p.m. - Disturbance - A resident on Roosevelt Avenue reported that some neighbors had a boxing ring set up in their back yard. He told police that roughly six people were boxing and making too much noise.

 

Sunday

1:31 a.m. - Domestic Violence - A man and woman were reportedly wrestling on a sidewalk.

11:45 a.m. - Occupied Suspicious Car - Two men, possibly juveniles, were smoking marijuana while sitting in a black Ford SUV on Broadway.

7:43 a.m. - Residential Burglary - A resident came home on Hoover Street and caught an unknown suspect in the house. The burglar fled out a side door, but had already ransacked the house.

11:17 p.m. - Shots Fired - Someone reported hearing a single gun shot on Shasta Street.
