Blotter: Gun Fired at Occupied House, Man Rams Truck Over Parking Space

The following information was supplied by the Redwood City Police Department. Where arrests or charges are mentioned, it does not indicate a conviction.

Saturday, Oct. 13

1:25 a.m. - Disturbance: Someone called to report a homeless person living in an encampment at Seaport Blvd. and Blomquist Street, under the 101 freeway, was yelling and harassing passers-by. Arrest made.

10:00 a.m. - Gun Shot at Inhabited House: Reporting party said a bullet was shot through their roof around 9 p.m. last night. No suspect info. Report taken.

10:50 a.m. - Grand Theft: Occured on Woodside Road. A ring was taken, sometime the day before. Possible suspect info. Report taken.

12:25 p.m. - Suspicious Person: Occured at Valota Road and Redwood Avenue. Someone reported a white male dressed in a hat and glasses and carrying a briefcase hitchhiking. Police were unable to locate.

1:15 p.m. - Residential Burglary: Occured on Main Street. Reporting party said he/she was not sure when it happened. No suspect info. Jewelry taken. Point of entry was the door. Report taken.

1:16 p.m. - Drug Activity: Someone reported a Hispanic female smoking marijuana out in front of a home on Regent Court.

1:18 p.m. - Intoxicated Person: Occured at Jefferson Avenue and El Camino. A male walking on the median stumbled and almost fell into traffic. White male in his 40s wearing an orange shirt.

1:46 p.m. - Disturbance: Occured on Flood. A person called to report that, after a heated verbal fight occured between him and another man over a parking space, the other man purposely rammed into his truck with his van. Referred to other agency.

2:05 p.m. - Suspicious Circumstances: Occured on Cork Harbour Circle. Someone called to report possible computer hacking - when he/she logs into computer, gets a federal fraud alert message preventing log-in. Report taken.

6:40 p.m. - Residential Burglary: Occured on Woodside Road. Reporting party says it occured sometime within the past three weeks. Gold and jewelry taken. No suspect info. Report taken.

7:52 p.m. - Assault w/ a Deadly Weapon: Occured on Laurel Street. Reporting party said a group of 5-10 Hispanic males threw something at him, said he is bleeding. Report taken.

 

Sunday, Oct. 14

12:20 a.m. - Strong-Arm Robbery: Occured at Underground Pub on Broadway. Reporting person said an unknown person assaulted him from behind and stole his phone. No suspect description. Report taken.

12:31 a.m. - Occupied Suspicious Vehicle/Indecent Exposure: Someone called to report a green Dodge Durango parked in the Maple Street garage with a subject sitting in the back, possibly with no clothes on.

5:07 a.m. - Suspicious Person: Reporting person said he/she went out to his/her car and found a suspicious person in the car - a male subject wearing a red hoodie, about 5'4" and 160 pounds. Reporting party yelled and suspect took off on a bike toward Belle downtown. Officers were unable to locate.

8:58 a.m. - Civil Standby: Person requested standby for a child custody exchange in which there is a restraining order that only allows contact for exchanges.

9:13 a.m. - Stolen Vehicle: Occured at Woodside Road and Horgan Avenue. Car last seen on Oct. 13 at 8:30 p.m. Report taken.

1:43 p.m. - Disturbance/Fight: Occured on Main Street. Three Hispanic males. One had a chain in his hand and was swinging it around and hitting others. Arrest made.

2:29 p.m. - Commercial Burglary: Occured on Oddstad Drive. Reporting party said it occured sometime over the past couple of weeks. An air compressor and saw were taken. Report taken.

4:37 p.m. - Disorderly Conduct/Public Drunkeness: Occured on Spring Street. Report that a male who had been on a bicycle was now on the ground, possibly bleeding. People were helping him. Assistance was sent.

4:42 p.m. - Disturbance/Fight: Occured on Broadway. Report of a male and female in a fight in a parking lot. Fight both physical and verbal. Officers were unable to locate.

10:02 p.m. - Disturbance/Vandalism: Report of a white van in the parking lot of a restaurant - subjects inside were throwing rocks at an apartment building, hitting some windows. Report taken.

 

Monday, Oct. 15

7:45 a.m. - Suspicious Person/Indecent Exposure: Occured on Buckeye Street. A white male with a beard was seen naked walking toward Stambaugh, wearing only cardboard.

5:32 p.m. - Disturbance: Occured on El Camino Real outside a restaurant's outdoor dining area. Report of a white male and white female who refused to leave, and were now yelling at security.

6:27 p.m. - Disturbance: Occured on Spring Street. Reporting person was in a verbal fight with a subject living in a motorhome. The motorhome owner was seen publicly bathing in a nearby faucet.

7:11 p.m. - Disturbance: Occured on El Camino Real. Business owner reported four subjects were trying to pass a counterfeit $20 bill. Subjects were gone upon officers' arrival.

I agree, the public has the right to know what they are eating. It is absurd to be purchasing foodRead More that contains GMOs and not be able to know it is in the food.... why the secret if it is so safe??? I will not shop at any food stores that refuse to provide the public with information on what I am eating or serving to the people I care about. Trader Joes and Whole Foods have my loyalty for having the courage to stand up against the big guys and set an example by doing what is right for the consumer and not folding to pressure from Monsanto, Dupont and the other corporate giants that could care less about our safety and only care about how much money they can rake in.
