Blotter: Armed Carjacking, Landlord Tosses Tenant’s Property Out the Door

The following information was supplied by the Redwood City Police Department. Where arrests or charges are mentioned, it does not indicate a conviction.

Tuesday, Oct. 16

4:56 a.m. – Disturbance: Occurred on Bradford Street. Someone called to report a man wearing black pants and a pink shirt is currently at the backside of the building banging on doors; person thinks he may be trying to break in.

8:26 a.m. – Disturbance: Occurred on Arlington Road. Someone reported a verbal argument taking place between two neighbors over parking issues.

10:11 a.m. – Domestic Violence: Someone witnessed violence between a woman and a male driver, in a vehicle.

12:37 p.m. – Petty Theft: Occurred on Middlefield Road. Inside a business, someone was caught on video stealing a wallet from a checkout counter. The thief was held at customer service until officers arrived.

10:05 p.m. – Armed Carjacking: Occurred on El Camino Real. Someone reported a black male with dredlocks wearing a hoodie pointed a gun at his/her head and demanded the car. The suspect then got into the car and drove toward northbound El Camino Real.

 

Wednesday, Oct. 17

7:22 a.m. – Stolen Vehicle: Occurred on Rolison Road. Green Honda Accord. Last seen around 9 p.m. last night. No suspect info. Report taken.

12:50 p.m. – Disturbance: Occurred at gas station parking lot on Whipple and Veterans. After an accident between two vehicles, one party refused to exchange information and a heated verbal argument ensued.

2:20 p.m. – Shoplift: A suspect attempted to steal cash and merchandise from a business on Veterans Boulevard. The suspect was cooperative. Arrest made.

3:03 p.m. – Disturbance: Occurred on Broadway. Landlord/tenant dispute. Tenant reports that his/her landlord is tossing his/her property out of the residence.

3:43 p.m. – Commercial Burglary: Occurred on Oddstad Drive. Theft from storage space. No suspect info. Report taken.

4:56 p.m. – Public Drunkenness: Occurred on El Camino Real.  Drunken male in the parking lot, now sleeping under a tree. Has a bicycle and was trying to ride it away but kept falling down.

6:18 p.m. – Person Down: Occurred on Adams Street. Reporting person found a white male wearing a white shirt and jeans passed out on her lawn. Resident does not know the subject.

7:56 p.m. – Shoplift: Occurred on Walnut Street. A woman in her 30s is attempting to get a refund for an item she grabbed from the sales floor of the business. Report taken.

7:59 p.m. – Strong-Arm Robbery:  Occurred at Roosevelt Avenue and Adams Street, yesterday at 2:30 p.m.  Woman said a black male came up behind her, pulled her hair and ripped three gold chains off her neck. Description: Roughly 5’8”, 130 pounds, 37 years old, wearing a dark hoodie and baggy pants. Reporting party is victim’s mother.

9:03 p.m. – Assault w/ Deadly Weapon: Occurred on Rolison Road. A man reported another man hit him with a hammer. Report taken.
