After an extended battle with Alzheimer's , Charlene Miclean, beloved wife, mother, grandmother and friend went to be with her Lord, Jesus Christ, on Friday, January 10th.

Charlene was born in San Francisco on April 14th 1935. She was a long-time Redwood City resident and a faithful member of Peninsula Covenant Church, attending and serving there for over 60 years.

Charlene held various jobs throughout her life, but had a particular fondness for her work at Woodside High School where she counseled students in the College and Career Center.

Her primary love in life was her dear husband, Jim, to whom she was married for 55 years and her 3 boys, David, John and Robert, her daughter-in-laws Carolyn, Janet and Krissy and her grandchildren Jack, Kate, Tyler, Ian, Mark, Ana, Iacob (and a grandson on the way). She is also survived by her loving sister, Judy Mattos, and faithful cousins, Barbara Williams and Marilee Rhoden, who loved and served her well in her final years.

Faithful, abundant love for her Lord and for her family marked her life. She has marked ours forever.

A memorial service celebrating her life will take place on Tuesday, January 21st 2014, at 1:30 pm at Peninsula Covenant Church, 3560 Farm Hill Blvd. Redwood City, California.
