Anthony (Tony) Scardigli April 20, 1962 - October 16, 2013 Resident of Redwood City
Anthony (Tony) Scardigli, age 51, of Redwood City died on October 16, 2013 of natural causes.
He was born on April 20, 1962 in San Mateo, to Lido and Madelyn Scardigli. He attended Millbrae Elementary School, Taylor Junior High, and graduated from Capuchino High School in 1980.
Tony was an easy-going, happy, and gentile man with a passion for rock and roll music from an early age. He was a gifted self-taught guitarist and keyboard player and an original member of the Bay Area band Tiffany. His love of music continued throughout his life. Tony was also an outstanding baseball player who participated in the Lyon's Club Little League.
Tony is survived by his mother, Madelyn (Maddy) Scardigli of Mountain View; his father, Lido and his wife Margaret Scardigli of San Jose; his sister and brother-in-law, Helene and Bruce Gates; niece, Christina Baldisseri; and other aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. Tony is preceded in death by his grandparents, James and Helen Virruso; Olivo (Blackie) and Frieda Scardigli; and his aunt, Sarane Marshall.
A memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on October 23, 2014 at Skylawn Memorial Park in San Mateo.
