"We were saddened yesterday here at the Chamber when we heard that our Chamber President from 1977 had passed away.

Bob Franceschini was one of the great ones.  Always generous, as Chief Executive of Coors West Distributing, our golf tournaments were well stocked and we never had a concern over running out, or being over budget.

To those in the Chamber, he was forever the optimist, ready at all times with a smile and a compliment. He enjoyed meeting new people, spending time with friends and family, and attending events - especially those famous Chamber cruises. He also sat on the selection committee, successfully choosing Larry Buckmaster to lead the Chamber - who just retired after 30 years.

Gentleman Bob will be missed."

Memorial services for Franceschini will be at St. Pius Church in Redwood City, at 11 a.m. on Thursday, Feb. 28.
