Craig and Lou at the ballot box: Proposition 40 – Director's cut ending

The stunning conclusion of our series on decision making in the California November election. OK, not stunning, but at least it's over.

Here it is, the big finish!  Today we close out our series on how to make an intelligent decision on ballot propositions with a look at Prop. 40: The senate redistricting iniiative.

Wait.  Didn't we already determine how to redistrict legislative seats?  Yes, we did, but that doesn't mean we have to accept it.  This measure will change how we redistrict the State Senate Districts, nothing else.  Does it make sense?  You decide.

And hang on for the thrilling conclusion as we wrap up with the question: What is wrong with the initiative process in California.

Was able to access 39. 40 still comes up as private.

Thank you, Lou! Thank you, Craig! Sorting through these propositions is always such a chore. You guys actually made it entertaining and helped clear up a lot of the gobblygook. Even though we don't have a local vote for the Hetch-Hetchy proposal like they do in San Francisco, I sure would love to hear what you both think about it.

Susan, try again. I've been doing everything remotely since Thursday on my iPad. Seems to be working now.

Bravo x 10 (for 10 superbly entertaining and informative videos) I agree, the California ballot initiative/proposition system is so confusing that it seems the state just wants to confused its voters into apathy. But your videos made them fairly digestible, enough so that Patch users stand a chance at the voting booth! Thank you, Lou and Craig, for helping us sort out this November's crazy initiatives.

Vanessa and ctpiazza, Buckley Stone at Pete's Harbor says it is because some time ago the CityRead More dredged near muni and ran a pipe under to spill it out at Bair Island, so it is actually the remains of rotting sea life. He knows so much about this area having been at Pete's for 20 years and knowing so much about the area the tides and the nature and land around here.
