Santa Claus Advisory: The Big Guy to Visit RWC Libraries

And don't forget...if you bring your overdue library items in this month along with a non-perishable food item for Second Harvest Food Bank, your fines will be waived!

[The following was submitted by the City of Redwood City.]

This special Santa Clause Advisory (SCA) is for all Redwood City kids, and for Redwood City adults who are young at heart!

Santa Claus is scheduled to visit  Redwood City Public Libraries next week. Kids are advised to bring their list, their best behavior, and their good cheer. And parents are advised to bring their cameras.

Schaberg Branch Library, Tuesday, December 17, 3:30 - 5:30 pm
With an intro by Daffy Dave

Downtown Library, Wednesday, December 18, 6 - 8 pm
With a bi-lingual Christmas sing-along; readings with Karen Morss, author of Flying Poodles; and a performance by Gabriel's Horns in the fireplace room

Fair Oaks Branch Library, Thursday, December 19, 4:30 - 6:30 pm
With fun crafts and a performance by the Peninsula Girls Chorus

Those attending Santa's December 18 appearance at the Downtown Library can hear a live holiday concert featuring Gabriel's Trumpet Trio, at 6:30 pm in the Fireplace Room. You can also enjoy listening to author Karen Morss reading her book Flying Poodles: A Christmas Story.

Finally, a reminder that any "naughty" Redwood City residents with outstanding library fines is invited to deliver nonperishable food items to any Redwood City library (or to any of the San Mateo County Library's twelve branches) during regular business hours - and their Library fines will be erased! This special "Food for Fines" program continues through the month of December. Those "nice" Redwood City residents who do not have any Library fines are also encouraged to donate food!
