Redwood City Closures for MLK Day

Martin Luther King Jr. Day is a federal holiday, so all federal, state, county and city offices will be closed on Monday.

Redwood City Hall: Closed on Monday.

Redwood City Parks and Recreation Classes: Will not be held on Monday.

Redwood City School DistrictAll schools and district office closed on Monday.

Notre Dame High School: Closed on Monday.

San Mateo County Community Colleges: Closed on Monday

Redwood City Police Department: Administrative office closed on Monday, but will respond to calls at 650-780-7100 or 911.

Redwood City Fire Department: Administrative office closed on Monday, but will respond to calls at 650-780-7400 or 911.

US Postal Service: No mail delivery on Monday.

Local Banks: Closed on Monday.

SamTrans: Regular, non-school day schedule.

BART: Trains will run on the Saturday schedule on Monday.

Caltrain: Regular weekday schedule*

*The Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Association of Santa Clara Valley will charter Caltrain as its “Freedom Train” Monday. 

The Freedom Train will board in San Jose and run NON STOP to San Francisco. 

The train will board at 10:00 a.m. at the San Jose Rod Diridon Train Station at 65 Cahill Street in San Jose and proceed nonstop to San Francisco, arriving at approximately 11:00 a.m. 

Day passes, Clipper Cards, or Brown Paper Ticket receipts will NOT be accepted in place of specially printed Freedom Train tickets.
