Purrrfect Pairing: Wine and Homeless Kitties

The Nine Lives Foundation, a no-kill shelter, is hosting a fundraiser Sunday at Domenico Winery. All proceeds will benefit homeless cats and kittens.

Two of lives greatest joys---kittens and good wine---come together for one memorable afternoon and important fundraiser this Sunday, Sept. 22 at Domenico Winery.

The folks at Domenico, located in San Carlos, are opening their doors and a few bottles to help raise money for the Nine Lives Foundation, a Redwood City-based non-profit dedicated to rescuing cats and kittens.

Nine Lives is run solely on public donations to meet its operating expenses. The shelter rescues cats and kittens from high-kill shelters and at-risk situations and placing them in permanent, loving homes.

“We also provide low-cost spay/neuter services to the public and other cat rescue organizations to reduce the number of unwanted kittens entering the Bay Area’s over-crowded shelters. Since 2004, we have rescued and more than 8,000 cats and kittens in permanent homes and have spayed/neutered more than 10,000!” said Nine Lives spokesperson Lori Brief Chavez

The event will feature unlimited tastings of Domenico wines, hors d’oeuvres and desserts, silent auction and raffle.
