Waldorf Doll-making Workshop

A Series of Five Friday Mornings, from 9 am to Noon

January 31st, February 7th, 14th, 28th and March 7th

Dolls are a representation of the human form and, for thousands of years, children from around the world have played with and loved handcrafted soft fiber dolls made from remnants of fabric and wool. The Waldorf doll is a toy made with a special child in mind. These unique soft and cuddly dolls are open-ended toys that allow for unlimited play.

In this workshop, you will create a beautiful doll using all-natural materials and explore the value of hand-made versus mass-produced dolls and toys.

Previous handwork experience is not a requirement for this class.

The workshop will be led by Kerstin Pintus, a master dollmaker and instructor for over 15 years, and WSP’s handwork teacher for 7th and 8th grade. She is also parent of a kindergarten through 12th grade Waldorf alumna, and a physical therapist with a focus on child development.
