Tree Pruning Workshop

CityTrees and the Redwood City Public Works Department is proud to announce our 11th Annual Tree Pruning Workshop on Saturday, February 22nd, 2014 9:00 to 11:30 a.m. Location: Redwood City Public Works building located at 1400 Broadway St. in Redwood City. The workshop will consist of approximately one hour of classroom training on tree maintenance. The focus is on younger trees. We will discuss the care of trees and related aspects of basic tree biology. Other topics include: the reasons for pruning, the priorities of tree maintenance, tree growth types, and safe work practices. The class will then walk to a nearby outdoor location for hands-on practical training in pruning techniques. Coffee and bagels will be served. Space is limited, so if you are interested in attending this workshop please respond to Simms Duncan (rsduncan@yahoo.com) to express you desire to attend. A suggested donation of $10 or more is requested to help CityTrees with our ongoing mission to plant and care for trees in Redwood City. We hope to see you there!
