Docent Training Program

San Mateo County History Museum, Neighbor

The San Mateo County Historical Association, which operates three museums, will
conduct its annual docent training program. 
The museums are the San Mateo County History Museum within the old
courthouse in Redwood City, the Sanchez Adobe historic house in Pacifica and
the Woodside Store Historic Site in Woodside.   Once the volunteers are trained to be docents, they have a choice of
conducting scheduled tours for children and adults or interpreting local
history for general visitors to the museums. 
Training is free but registration is required.  Members of the community interested in
volunteering should contact the Education Department at 650-299-0104 x231 or education@historysmc.org
