Update: Missing Man Last Seen in Downtown San Mateo Friday Evening

Kenneth Morison walked away from the Cordilleras Center in Redwood City Friday afternoon.

Update: 7:45 p.m. Saturday

The man who went missing from the Cordilleras Center in Redwood City on Friday afternoon was last seen at 2nd and B streets in San Mateo at approximately 6:00 p.m. Friday.

The missing person is  a white male, Kenneth Morison, age 67, 5-foot 7-inches tall, 220 pounds, gray hair/beard wearing a blue and white jacket, red shirt, and blue jeans.

Anyone who believes they have spotted or located Morison is asked to call 9-1-1 immediately.


10:05 p.m. Friday

Authorities are asking citizens to be on alert and help locate a missing person who walked away from the Cordilleras Mental Health Center at 200 Edmonds Road in Redwood City around 4:45 p.m. Friday afternoon.

The missing person is Kenneth Morison, who is described as a 67-year-old man with gray hair and a gray beard, who weighs about 220 pounds and was last seen wearing a white sweatshirt and blue jeans.

Anyone who believes they have spotted or located Morison is asked to call 9-1-1 immediately.

This is at least the second person in as many months to "walk away" from this facility. Why can't they keep track of their people? As someone who lives in the neighborhood, it's pretty concerning.

Joey - you're absolutely right. Authorities have not released a photo or said why this man has been staying at a mental health facility, but let's hope it's not as serious as when the high-risksex offender escaped recently - http://redwoodcity-woodside.patch.com/articles/high-risk-sex-offender-escapes-mental-health-facility
