Low cloud cover over San Francisco is causing significant delays at San Francisco International Airport, an airport duty manager said.
Airport duty manager Larry Mares said that almost all domestic arrivals and departures have been facing delays from 30 minutes to two hours. Most international flights were not affected, he said.
"Anytime we see these types of delays we strongly recommend that folks check in with their carriers for the latest travel information on their flights or those that they're picking up," Mares said.

He said delays are likely to shorten this evening with fewer flights scheduled tonight and more room for departing planes. Meanwhile, airport personnel at Mineta San Jose International Airport and at Oakland International Airport reported no delays.
