500 Redwood City Customers Affected by PG&E Outage

The power in Redwood City was one of two that occurred in the Bay Area today, PG&E said.

A pair of outages left more than 1,500 customers without power in Redwood City, Richmond and El Cerrito, a PG&E spokesman said.

The Redwood City outage affected 522 customers, spokesman JD Guidi said.

The cause of the outage, which began at 12:06 p.m., remains under investigation, Guidi said. There is no timetable when the power will be restored, he said.

An electrical wire went down at 3300 Regatta Blvd. in Richmond at 11 a.m., leaving 1,050 customers in Richmond and El Cerrito without power, Guidi said.

PG&E technicians repaired most of the damage, and as of 1:50 p.m., only 29 customers are waiting for their power to be restored, Guidi said.
