A Sad Day at Folger Stable

It is with sadness that we announce San Mateo County's decision not to renew the Concessionaire lease for Bay Area Equestrian Connection at Folger Stable. The news is especially difficult for us as it comes on the heals of our most successful summer of youth horse camps, birthday parties, trail rides and lessons.

This year, 2013, finally saw a steady increase in demand for the programs we had taken close to three years to build. BAEC took on the lease in 2010 with the daunting task of bringing the facility up to modern day standards for a working barn. Together with that was making the dream of a community barn, with riding programs for all, a reality.

We will leave knowing that against popular opinion, we achieved and surpassed all expectations of what was possible.

Today, instead of announcing new staff hires and horses we are letting you know that we will be liquidating our nearly $250,000 investment and holding a sale of our assets at Folger Stable.

Please stay tuned for a listing of available horses and equipment soon to be posted on our website
For those who would like to experience the wonder of horses at Folger, please contact us today to schedule your ride or lesson while there is still time.

We extend our heartfelt thanks to all of you who have participated on this journey with us, including our staff who worked hard to instruct the next generation of horse lovers. Our hope is that the magic of horses we brought to many at Folger Stable remain as a source of excitement for you to continue that love into the future.

Regards,Dan Byrum, CEO and the BAEC Team
