Woodchuck BBQ Turns Off Its Grills

The Redwood City barbeque joint closed down last week.

served its last ribs, brisket and Happy Hour specials last week just before Labor Day Weekend as the locally owned Redwood City establishment shut down.

The barbeque establishment located in downtown Redwood City served three varieties of ribs, burgers and delicious side dishes.

The restaurant participated in Redwood City’s special events, including and the in late July.

A recent article on SanJose.com lauded Woodchuck for being ,“a welcoming, straightforward place with a long bar and views of happening Broadway in Redwood City’s reinvigorated downtown.”

The restaurant was just over three months when owners decided to close its doors.

A message left on Woodchuck’s website thanked patrons for their support and did not rule out the possibility of a “Woodchuck 2” when the time is right.
