The Downtown Tree Decorating Contest is Back!

Visit the participating downtown businesses and vote for your favorite decorated tree!

Holiday cheer is in full swing in downtown Redwood City, and now is the time to stroll around, enjoying the bright lights and chill in the air, stop at a few restaurants, stores or galleries, enjoy the beautiful window decorations in many downtown businesses, and select your favorites in the Holiday Tree Decorating Contest!

This year, decorated trees are in the windows of a variety of locations downtown - the City now invites everyone to visit them all, take a close look at the wonderful decorations and sense of holiday spirit, and then cast your vote. And while you're doing so, the City is sure you'll enjoy the bright, festive holiday window decorations that many businesses have put up.

There are three categories for the Tree Decorating Contest: Youth and School Organizations, Community Organizations, and Businesses.

Voting takes place now through Dec. 17, and winners will be announced on Dec. 21.

Visit www.hometownholidays.org for the ballot, tree locations, participating organizations, and voting locations. Note: There is no electronic voting; you must bring the ballot to one of the voting locations.

Vanessa and ctpiazza, Buckley Stone at Pete's Harbor says it is because some time ago the CityRead More dredged near muni and ran a pipe under to spill it out at Bair Island, so it is actually the remains of rotting sea life. He knows so much about this area having been at Pete's for 20 years and knowing so much about the area the tides and the nature and land around here.
