Sweet Stop brings Mitchell's Ice Cream to Redwood City
Peninsula residents don’t have to make the trek to San Francisco get a scoop of the ever-popular Mitchell’s Ice Cream this summer.
They can enjoy it in downtown Redwood City.
Sweet Stop has been providing the local area with the San Francisco-based tropical ice cream under owner Jose Montecinos. And along with the famous ice cream brand, he and his wife have been offering coffee and pastries to local residents.

And while the brand is the shop’s main selling point, it comes with another luxury.
“I don’t charge for the toppings,” Montecinos said. “It’s basically free.”
Prices range from $3 to $5.75 depending on how many scoops are ordered, he said.
