Free Tax Prep Services Being Offered to Qualifying Households

The event is for individuals and families who earn less than $52,000 a year.

State Senator Jerry Hill and State Controller John Chiang are touting a free tax preparation service in Mountain View.

The service, which is offered through the Volunteer Income Tax Assistance Program for families and individuals with an income of less than $52,000 a year, will be provided at a four-hour long event, on Thursday, March 6, according to an event flier.

The event will be held at St. Athanasius Catholic Church, from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m.  That's located at 160 N Rengstorff Ave.

Though the event is free, an appointment is necessary.  You will need to call Senator Hill's district office to schedule yours, at 650-212-3313.
