Bay Area Claims 7 of World's 200 Richest

Forbes released its list of billionaires Wednesday and many hail from right here in the Bay Area.

Forbes released its list of billionaires Wednesday, and, no surprise, many of these founders and CEOs call the Bay Area home. Silicon Valley attracts start-up companies like moths to a flame, claiming many self-made enterpreneurs like Larry Ellison of Redwood City's Oracle and the Google founders, Larry Page and Sergey Brin.

This year's list had the most billionaires ever, 1,210, netting a total of $4.5 trillion. California boasted 88 billionaires, more than a fifth of the U.S.'s billionaires.
