Art is everywhere in Redwood City!

YO Everyone!

Glad to be back blogging with y'all!  I wanted to share a few shows that I have going on right now in Downtown Redwood City.  First and foremost, the will be having the "Year of the Dragon" Reception.  Here is what you need to know:

                        Exhibit at  Bianchini's Market

Hungry for art?  Bianchini's Market in San Carlos features the photography of Redwood City artist Beth Mostovoy, aka Honeybear Prints.    
  
In this FUN exhibit, sure to feed your soul, Mostovoy has a whole display in the front of the market, dedicated to her favorite edibles.  Peruse veggies, fresh fruits, sushi, and of course the famous and fabulous Honeybear signature image.  Sweet!  And, when you've have your fill, do shop for those other fruits and veggies!

**This exhibit will only be available until Friday, February 3rd!!

I would be remiss if I did not mention the Diamond Awards.  I am a Board member of the Peninsula Arts Council, promoting the arts in San Mateo County.  Once a year, we give out awards to recognize the people and organizations that are out in the world making a difference via the arts in San Mateo County.  If you want to be amazed, and you want to be uplifted and inspired, please come to the award ceremony.  There are many stories of people changing the world in your neighborhood, one person at a time.  We shine the light on some of them…read on!!

Peninsula Arts Council (PAC) is a non-profit organization serving San Mateo County for 20 years. Its mission is to advance the arts in San Mateo County.  The board’s three key areas of focus include: arts education, public art, and developing San Mateo County into a destination for the arts, parks and culture.   Music at Kohl Mansion is in its 29th year of providing quality chamber music concerts by world-class performers in the historic Great Hall at Kohl Mansion. Its "Kohl for Kids" programs at the mansion and local schools from K - 12 introduced over 4,500 children to the joys of live concert experiences last year. Free "Musical Conversations" by professionals delight audiences of all ages at the San Mateo Public Library.

Thanks everyone.  I hope you can make it to one or more of these shows.  In case you missed it last year, the Lunar New Year celebration &  Art Reception in downtown RWC will be GREAT!!  It was a lot of fun last year and will have more exciting and interesting things to see and do…so come and celebrate the Year of the Dragon!
