ART: The Gallery Annex Opening, Mayer's Jewelers Valentine Exhibit, and BOB!

YO Everyone,

It is heating up around here...lots of ART news to share with y'all.  First up is a reception this Saturday, at the Gallery Annex, plus a Valentine Italy exhibit AND, last but not least... , the new guy about town.  He will leave you all a-twitter, I am sure! 

And do feel free to let me know what you think. I welcome your input on anything art, as I hope to get a real conversation going about how we can make RWC an "arts destination".

The Gallery Annex announces its first exhibit of 2012           

Please join us for our reception/sale on Saturday, February 4th from 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. in the gallery, during the Lunar New Year Celebration in downtown Redwood City on Courthouse Square.

Featured artists are:  Bill Szarowicz, showing fascinating work in graphite and charcoal, Alisan Andrews showcasing floral watercolors of spring, and photographer Marla Lehr shows her San Francisco Bridge Series.

Also, Tom Chapman, horse and wildlife painter, departs into "Foul" territory, Edna Acri, award-winning artist, features a variety of outstanding watercolors, Amy Peng King, teacher and Master of Chinese Brush painting shares her series and Linda Inson Choy displays her beautiful photographs of sea and sky.

And, RWC Photographer Beth Mostovoy, is exhibiting work from her timely and award winning China Series.  Artists will be showing additional original work, prints and cards, available for purchase during the reception.  The show will run until March 1.

The Gallery Annex adjoins the Century 21 Theatre on the corner of Broadway and Theatre Way, across from Courthouse Square. The Gallery Annex is a subsidiary of Redwood City Art Center, 2625 Broadway, Redwood City, CA 94063.

**And while you are in the Gallery Annex, make sure you meet BOB.  You might have seen BOB, who has been flitting around the downtown since May, altho he seems to have taken a liking to the Gallery Annex.  Bob likes to be in the middle of all the action.  Read on!

He can't wait for the on February 4th, including his opening debut at the Gallery Annex that day from 1-4PM. If you don't come and see BOB, and all the fabulous art in the new show, feathers WILL be ruffled!!

Mayer's Jewelers Valentine Exhibit
