Redwood Shores Artist Elfi Altendorfer is featured in The Main Gallery Show: "Extravaganza -La Luna"

YO Redwood City,

Happy Summer everyone.  How blessed are we to live in such a GREAT city and area!  There is always something to do and see.  As an artist here in Redwood City, I hope you will spend some time this glorious summer exploring all the great artists and art events that are happening right in your 'hood!

My recent "Meet your Local Artist" series highlighted artists participating in Art on the Square.  Now I would like to feature an amazing artist who lives in Redwood Shores, shows at The Main Gallery and many, many other places.  Her work is incredible (see the attached photos).  Read on, and do go to her show in a few weeks at The Main Gallery!  Put it on your calendar right NOW!

Meet Your Local Artist:  Elfi Altendorfer

Elfi Altendorfer of TrèsChic Fashion Jewelry, is "inspired to design and craft jewelry that reflects the soul and beauty of the materials." Elfi designs jewelry which "accentuates the wearer’s personality and style, is fashion forward, beautiful yet affordable."

Born and raised in Austria, Elfi was fortunate to grow up "in an environment where art and craft was encouraged."  Her life has taken her across the European Continent, Middle East, Africa and New York to Redwood Shores. And we are happy to have her!

Always returning full of creativity, appreciation and respect for the uniqueness of different cultures and nature’s endless combination of colors, textures, shapes and symbols, Elfi embraces her European heritage, creating classical and comtemporary designs, where each piece is unique and meticulously handcrafted.

Elfi will be featured in "Extravaganza -La Luna" at The Main Gallery.  You can meet Elfi at the Artist Reception July 7th - 6-8PM.  The Main Gallery is located at 1018 Main Street in Redwood City.  For more info:  themaingallery.org

I love Elfi's jewelry and have many pieces. I think it is so special. The attention to detail and unique materials and colors Elfi uses make each piece unique---from fuzzy wool to phono beads to safety pins!!! What a talent!!!!!

I agree with Julie. Art is really not showcased in our area, and we have so many fabulous artists creating incredible work. Local arts and artists are really struggling. Please support the local arts and artists in your communities. You will be amazed and enriched and so glad you made the effort.
