ART on the Square: Meet your local Artist : Brianna Luce

ART on the Square is this Friday, July 13th. Meet your local Artist: Brianna Luce

YO REDWOOD CITY!!

ART on the Square is back for its 2nd Fabulous Show this Friday, July 13.  For any newbies, this is the 6th year that ART on the Square has partnered with the always amazing Music on the Square shows.  Our artists will be on Hamilton, and as usual, we will give out $100 in gift certificates to spend in any artist booth that night.  Just see any artist on Hamilton to enter.  We will announce the names on the Square at 7.  Must be present to win.

We have a great group of artists, doing creative and vital work in photography (insert shameless plug here!), glass, jewelry, woodworkers, chainmail, tshirts, and more!

Let's meet another talented local artist:  Brianna Luce

Bluce designs was founded in 2012 by Brianna Luce, a passionate jewelry maker with a background in architectural design. Her latest designs are re-purposed acoustic guitar string earrings, which are inspired by her parents who play mandolin and guitar.

Being in a string playing family, Brianna grew up with strings around all the time. There was rarely a time when there weren't strings that needed changing and it seemed so wasteful to Brianna to see these varied and beautiful items thrown away. So one day, on a long summer day, Brianna put her design and aesthetic skills to work and made the first pair of the elegant and stylish earrings that she sells today.

Brianna's family is native to the area, and Brianna currently lives in the Skylonda area with her boyfriend, Mike. She will be in Dessau, Germany this winter, studying with the highly esteemed Bauhaus school and then pursuing an Architecture internship in San Francisco. Although much of her work is custom, her designs are available for viewing and sale at http://www.blucedesigns.com

Be sure to stop by and meet Brianna, and all the other talented artists on Friday.  We will be on Hamilton @ Courthouse Square from 5PM-8:30.  Please do support your local artists!

And remember:  Always follow your h'ART!

PS:  For all your Honeybear Prints Supporters out there...I will also be appearing this weekend at the 33rd annual Los Altos Art & Wine Festival. I will be on State Street between Second and Third, Booth #224.  Hope to see you.
