Here is a small sampling of what you will find at The Main Gallery’s Blooming exhibit:

The colorful and textural jewelry by artist Susan G. Fast reflects her view of spring. Selecting interplay between colors and textures, Fast employs victorian elements of fabric, gemstones, and vintage glass to create “new and bold from tarnished and old.”

The brightly colored, folksy paintings of mixed media artist Elizabeth Gomez convey a somewhat utopic coexistence between women and their environment.  For Blooming, Gomez exhibits whimsical, happy images where both a girl and flowers bloom in spring. Gomez believes that “springtime is hope: it is a new chance at life. What is dormant wakes up and is ready to shine in beauty.”

The Main Gallery, an artists’ cooperative with some 23 members, showcases the work of some of the best local talent in the Bay Area.  The Main Gallery is open Wednesday through Sunday from 10:00 am to 3:00 pm. For more information, please visit www.themaingallery.org or call The Main Gallery at (650) 701-1018.

Didja know "Love is in the ART"?   Time to Unleash your inner Cupid and go to see the work of featured artist Johane Amirault in her solo art exhibit "Love Is In The Art".  Her paintings are vibrant, colorful, harmonious and always feel like they are telling an exquisite story.  Johane is a true example of someone who has all the three dimensions of her being connected – her mind, body and soul. When she paints, they all are aligned within her to bring the best of her out of her being and on the canvas for the world to enjoy, to reflect and to ponder.
