ARTSRWC: ART on the Square is Friday, August 23, and more ART NEWS!

Last ART on the Square for 2013 is this Friday on Hamilton @Courthouse Square.

YO REDWOOD CITY!

As the Summer of 2013 starts to wind down (snif!) I want to let you know that  the state of the ARTS in Redwood City remains strong and there are plenty of opportunities to see fabulous art and support your local artists.

ART ON THE SQUARE
AOTS
will wrap up its 7th successful season this Friday with the last of four shows. It has been a great year, featuring many new artists from near and far, as well as some "hometown favorites". This Friday you will have the pleasure of shopping for art with over 25 exhibiting artists, featuring the best in jewelry, photography, painting, wood work, glass, charms, recycled art and more. Show hours are 5-8:30 pm, and the band will be Journey Revisited.

Of course, we will award $100 in gift certificates like we always do!  Go to any artist booth on Hamilton to sign up.  The drawing will be around 7pm in Courthouse Square and, this is important, YOU MUST BE PRESENT TO WIN.  I will be in Space #27, so do stop by and let me know that you read about AOTS in the  blog.  Or check out and "like" our ART on the Square facebook page.  See you Friday, and thanks for your support in 2013.

In the adjacent 555 County Center building’s Rotunda Gallery is “Fun Stuff Art”, reinvented painted furniture, by Nancy Woods of One of Designs in Burlingame.  This exhibit is running now through December.
