Video: Teen Belts Out Operatic Original

Woodside High Student Julia Belanoff was awarded the Ray Lorenzato Young Award for her remarkable talent.

If you can’t quite articulate what you love about the San Francisco Bay Area, 16-year-old Julia Belanoff will do it for you, and in song.

The Peninsula Arts Council presented Woodside High junior Julia Belanoff with the Ray Lorenzato Young Artist Award Thursday night, an honor fitting for a teen exploding with such raw talent.

The 4.0 student and karate black belt charmed the room with her bubbly personality, then resumed a professional demeanor before effortlessly belting out her original song “Goodnight San Francisco.”
